Dkrav'lest Daevka
Hated by many, loved by few, Dkravilest of the Daevka brood (sometimes shortened as D'ravl'st Daevka or simply Mr. Daevka) was the ambassador of EXODUS, when first contact was made in 2011. Originally raised as a xenolinguist, Dkravilest was the first to translate Terran languages to a form his people could understand. Because of this achievement, he was chosen to be part of the EXODUS diplomatic body. Wishing for a life outside of politics, after having had to handle the dreadful consequences of the Helsinki Meltdown, he left his position in 2031, allowing his brother Andrakta of the Deavka brood to take over. in 2032, Dkravilest decided to permanently move to Earth, turning into investor and businessdevsk and quickly became one of the richest people in the United Kingdom. As the owner of several night clubs, among which the infamous "Le Coq Heureux" (ne:e': "The Happy Cock"), he knows that humans crave for certain types of "entertainment" and is perfectly willing to provide it at exorbitant prices. He is very protective towards his subordinates, though, putting his life and money on the line for the girls and boys who work for him. He considers the strippers and waiters working at Le Coq as his best assets and, deep inside, is very fond of them, to the point of considering them "family". Despite his old age, Dkravilest is still a pretty capable fighter, but will forfeit any sense of honor and fairness, if that allows him to get an edge on his opponent. When victory needs to be certain, he will have absolutely no qualms in using any underhanded tactics ... like bringing a plasma rifle to a fistfight.

Azwel
Self-proclaimed "Studier of the Human Race," Azwel's love for mankind bordered on the fanatical. Blessed with an almost unwordly intelligence, he was a scholar in numerous fields, inclunding history, medecine, war and art. His research into human history in particular led him to conclude that people would eventually destroy themselves through war or some other catastrophe. In response, he decided to become the savior of humanity. As a member of the Aval Organization, he conducted research at a lightning pace, and concluded that by causing the powerful Evil Seed, humanity would be taken to its next level. Azwel's was such that it might soon rival even that of the gods themselves. Azwel's research at the Aval Organization had not been for nothing. He had concluded he was unable to obtain enough information about the cursed and spirit sword by himself—at the same time, however, he is also felt restricted in his movements within the organization. So when he became a member of the Twelve, he recruited crazed followers who would help. His actions, though, raised the suspicions of the organization. With his theories about the Ultimate Seed already formed, he was ready to take his plan to the next stage: by getting his hands on a fragment of both the spirit sword and the cursed sword, he could use their power to bring forth the Ultimate Seed. The day humanity would be saved was nigh! Just thinking about it filled Azwel with ecstasy...

A search of her language database for an appropriate term returned to words “ancient castle,” and this one appeared to have abandoned long ago. Her sensors detected no machine lifeforms. "Communication received from Bunker," spoke the robotic voice from 2B's tactical support pod. "Mission received. Objective: Destroy the hostile entity, Soul Edge." "Hostile entity? Not a machine lifeform?" 2B thought aloud. "Not that it matters. If that is the mission, I must complete it." Her pod piped up again. "Proposal: Search for target." Suddenly, she felt a strange sensation—a twinge—on the back of her neck. She dismissed it as a small glitch in her sensors, but if androids could feel unease, she knew this must be it.

Sir Rattlebone
Long ago, in medieval times, there was a strong and noble knight who served the royalty of Kingsland. He was known for being fearless and undyingly loyal. But one day, this knight fell victim to a freak trebuchet accident, a misfortune that would sadly cost him his life. Hundreds of years later, the knight was awoken from the grave by a mysterious necromancer. The knight looked at himself and realised his flesh had rotted off beneath the earth, leaving only his skeleton dressed in royal armour. He couldn’t remember a thing about himself, not even his name, but his passion to serve and protect was nonetheless intact. The necromancer dubbed him as “Sir Rattlebone” and appointed him as the commander of a whole army of skeletal knights, to fight a war against a common enemy: skeletal pirates. No one truly knows who won that war, but it mattered not, as Rattlebone was laid back to rest the moment it was over. Another five hundred years passed, and Rattlebone was brought back once more, this time into the modern age. He ended up fleeing from the one that reanimated him, as they had also recruited the dastardly skeleton pirate Shiverskull, Rattlebone’s old enemy from the skeleton war, into their ranks. After a fairly sizable ordeal involving a tournament known as the Duels of Fortune, Rattlebone finally decided to settle down and become the assistant to a friendly tinkerer named Annie, who could be a little crazy about her inventions sometimes, but overall took good care of him. But the action is never truly over for Rattlebone; while Annie was working on a brand-new teleportation device, the machine suddenly went haywire, and Rattlebone was transported to what appeared to be an alternate Earth. He was unsure exactly what was going on here, but he had a feeling that plenty of danger awaited him here. His trusty sword and shield at the ready, he set out on a new quest to find a way back home.

Mira Knef
Model, Businesswoman, Fighter. Mira had been a well known sensation in Brazil. Her captivating and energetic personality is reflected in her fighting style, a mixture of capoeira and boxing which transforms her movements into a whirlwind of attacks. Her dance-like movements are a one-of-a-kind show on the ring, amazing both casual spectators and those fool enough to get tricked by her looks and file her down as "just another rich girl". She embarked on a trip to Europe in order to seek a possible partnership with a famous investor in the United Kingdom, but it seems like troubles are following her even overseas. You know, business as usual.

Leo Fizeau
In 2438, the impending end of planet Earth forced humans to try and look for a new home, through a massive endavour known as Project Noah. Leo Fizeau, an overconfident, brash soldier, took an active role as a backup pilot on the massive colony ship Eden 03, which set sails for the outer solar system. When communications with Earth were suddenly lost, Leo volunteered to drive a small recognissance ship back, in order to clear the causes of the black out and make a name for himself. After several attempts at convincing his captain, his suggestion was finally approved, allowing him to travel once more to Earth. While he was orbiting Mars, an anomalous Tide phased him through the Shadow Gallery, sending him and his ship back to the past, at the beginning of the 2060s. It's 2065. Leo has lived in the past for the last three years, and has gained a strange power - which he nicknamed "Wormhole Teleport". Despite several years have already passed, Leo keeps on wearing the same pilot jumpsuit he was originally equopped with, covering it with a hoodie he bartered in St. Patrick in exchange of his helmet. Now, he travels the world looking for answers, trying to investigate the accident that caused him to be stranded in time and the apocalypse that will destroy Earth in less than four centuries. And, if possible, to prevent it.

Lazor Loyra
How Lazor Loyra came to Earth, it's mostly unknown. He's no alien, his DNA is almost human, yet his red skin and yellow eyes betray his mysteryous origin. Whatever took him to 2064, it doesn't seem to have fazed him in the slightest, as he didn't even try to go back home. Instead, he joined forces with the criminal known as Underwater to rob some banks and pummel drug dealers on behalf of Don Go Ottari. After Shaz left the syndicate, however, Lazor just disappeared and started roaming the world as a free agent, always armed with his blasting refractors, capable of generating force fields of immense magnitude. Lazor is rather simple minded, he trains, he cooks, he robs banks on commission, just to go back training (and complaining about Italian food, because it makes him fatter).

K-069
After the dismissal of the human-driven ENiGMA space force in 2063, following the discovery of shadowy practices to enhance the abilities of the pilots, Kreen Industries took the task of bulding a replacement android pilot. The K-line of almost-sentient gynoids was reconverted to driving tasks in order to satisfy the supply request. K model 069 has been the latest iteration of the series: composed by two interconnected units (one aboard the spaceship, one installed in a human-like body), K-069 has a twin brain which make her body and her vehicle one and the same thing. Built using state-of-the-art carbon and ceramic materials and designed by Leonard Vertighel, the most influential android designer of this century, K-069 is the heroine everyone needs in these dark times. As every gynoid in this production line is different from each other, it is easier to use their appearance and uniqueness to ensnare the masses and create "the image of the future", and K-069 is no exception to this.

Doll
Notorious, in spite of never being seen by anyone living, or not an assassin. Doll is best known for her calling card, of victims left behind with their eyes and mouths sown shut, arms stitched over their chest like a mummy, surrounded by paper mannequins presumed to resemble her. Like most members of the Assassin's Community, she was kidnapped in her infancy and lived a traumatic childhood, being forced to become an unstoppable killer. Her tools of torture are two giant sowing needles, the ability to switch places with her paper effigies, and an unlimited supply of thread that only she can break. She's also rumored to be a master of disguise. How she got to Euterpe is unknown, but word has it she's been particularly hostile towards other assassins.

Wally Alba
In 2061, an Irish mission imported a group of living Haemophages from the Dead Zone to Sydney, in order to perform medical studies and improve the knowledge on their biology. Unfortunately, after a black out occurred in one of the facilities hosting them, a small number of creatures managed to escape containment and move to the outback, an environment similar to the artificial desert they came from. In order to avoid another disaster like in St. Patrick, the Australian government greenlighted the creation of an Outback Army to keep track of the Haemophages and prevent their spread into the rest of the continent. To further boost the popularity of the newly founded military corps, the PR department of the army decided to commission a small subunit of "dinosaur soldiers" to a joint venture composed by Zavira Genetics and Encorp. The soldiers were shipped in 2062 and formed the commando known as "the Outback Hunters". Among those genetically mutated reptilians, captain Wally Alba was the leader of the group. While he was considered a hero, especially by the children, after having spent two years shooting at the constantly growing number of Haemophages, Wally got sick of his duty. Desperate for changing his life, he begged his comrades to help him escape from Australia. By bribing the captain of a container ship, they managed to make Wally reach Japan safely, far from his home country and the logorating war against Haemophages. There, he met Mono Kishima and quickly formed an alliance with her to work together as bounty hunters and build a new life in a foreign country. Despite seeming hard and difficult to handle, Wally has a soft spot for children and he's really fond of donating part of his income to charity. Together with Mono, they decided that robbery is fine, as long as the target is an "evil-doer" or someone who got rich by exploiting poor people and bending laws - making businessmen like Sanjuro Bonzaga an acceptable target. Wally and Mono have built up a sort of brother-sister relationship and, even if it doesn't look like at first sight, they really care a lot about each other. He believes his life was "stolen" from him and just wants to be able to get "something" to replace this loss, even if he doesn't really know what this "something" is.

Tutorial Man
Tutorial Man is a virtual entity created by combining data from several fighters. He's an advanced AI loaded on the computers of the Delta Base and used as a VR training companion for whoever needs to hone their skills. Tutorial Man is no living being, despite sometimes acting like one, and has a pre-programmed "teacher" personality which makes him consider anyone who's connected to the terminal as his pupil. He's intimately connected with the fabric of his own virtual world and can alter its appearance at will, reproducing several different places in the world, based on images and videos downloaded from the Internet. It is rumored that when the VR machine is not used, he's actually simulating fights with a range of different opponents, based on real-life fighters the Delta Team has faced or encountered. It's hard to say if he really "feels" anything, but one can't avoid to notice how proud his voice becomes whenever his pupils overcome one of his trials.

Tiger Sambiong
Sambiong was born as a common Malayan tiger and caught in the wild as a sample for the "Beast War" project, a prominent branch of the Schwarzer Blitz experiment led by geneticist Oskar Darnek and sponsored by Encorp. The experiment was supposed to create human-beast hybrids with high intellect and feral traits, to use as a shock weapon during war. However, after a spending review and the realization that the prototype hybrids didn't sport physical characteristics superior enough to be considered a success, the "Beast War" project was shut down and the two processed samples (Sambiong and Shabeel) reassigned as test subjects for head scientist Lars "Metallic" von Mayer, despite Darnek's complaints. Shabeel later died in a laboratory accident and was turned into a cyborg, while Sambiong was sent to containment. As a result of the Black Lightning Disaster, Sambiong managed to escape after having incapacited Mayer, and made it out of the facility alive. Found by some rescuers, he was then taken into custody and released after a full deposition on Mayer's brutal experiments. The recently established United Nations' Bureau for Human-Hybrid Creatures decided to appoint him as a "champion among humans and mutants alike" and give him the grade of commander in a newly created unit, called Delta Team, with the specific task of monitoring non-human activity and investigate mutant-related crimes. Sambiong assumed "Tiger" as a first name not to forget his animal origins and accepted the position. After one year since the events which led to the Black Lightning, Tiger still suffers from post traumatic stress disorder, having continuous flashbacks of his escape from the facility and his last standoff with Mayer. He also blames himself for Shabeel's death and loathes himself and mutants for the only reason of being "unnatural". Thanks to repeated psychological cures, Tiger seems to have finally started a full recovery and he's now able to start a new life. The company and help of Amy may have helped him to accept himself as he is. Still, the tales about the two of them being officially engaged are most likely only rumors which shouldn't be given too much credit.

Skeleton Skallen
Ange Skallen is a prominent member of a private military contractor (PMC) collective known as Crossbones. Born in France from Algerian parents with some drops of Swedish blood, Ange served in the military until he was twenty-five. He became a member of the French foreign legion and fought in several peacekeeping missions in Libya and Morocco. During the mission, Ange witnessed the atrocities committed by the local armies and became disillusioned with national governments. As a result, he decided to resign and join the recently formed PMC Crossbones, founded by Blazer Ikata in 2055 as a shelter for all the bounty hunters, former soldiers, and mercenaries who shared a sense of honor and loathed authorities. Once part of the collective, he quickly gained the respect of his coworkers and earned the rank "Skeleton", which was traditionally given only to high-performing members. He obtained the right to use his signature armor and mask, as well as a high-power, portable plasma caster. He became known as the "mutant-killer", since he often took missions which required the elimination of one or more non-humans. He got along extremely well with Der Wolf and acted for a short time as a surrogate father for her daughter Cyphr, who has never managed to accept him as her mother's mate. In 2064, together with Delfina Hyaruno and Der Wolf, Ange was tasked to infiltrate the Euterpe military research facility in order to track down Crossbones former member Jerediah "Red" Horowitz, disappeared all of a sudden two years before and suddenly found among the personnel of the Schwarzer Blitz experiment. The mission ended in a failure, with Der Wolf going AWOL and Delfina defecting shortly after. In the aftermath of the Black Lightning Disaster, Ange tried to help Cyphr overcome the loss of her mother, without much success, while still investigating Red's whereabouts. Aside from his professional life, Ange cannot be defined as a "bad man": he's really caring for the ones he loves and has a few hobbies outside his daily routine. He keeps his muscular build by performing long training sessions every day, while listening to French rap compilations.

Feliz Harracido
Alongside Go Ottari, Shaz Aliart, Delfina Hyaruno, and Blade Aural, Feliz Harracido was created by RealLifeAnime in the early 2050s in order to star in an action show which should have replaced "The Princess of the Light Petals". He was appointed member of a heroic fishmen team with the name of "Hammer Harracido". The show bombed badly, leaving all the fishmen unemployed and ready to be dismissed. In these conditions, Go Ottari founded the Fishface Crime Syndicate and converted a ragtag bunch of misfits to one of the most powerful mobs in the United Kingdom. Despite being less smart than Blade or Shaz, Feliz has improved physical capabilities and a hardened head who makes him quite difficult to stun. The placement of his eyes created him problems during the years, overcome with the use and development of hammerhead-specific tools, like extended binoculars. He usually work in a team with Evilobster, despite not being able to understand anything he says. Feliz feels jealousy toward Shaz and Blade, who were always taken in higher consideration by Go Ottari, and was quite delighted to learn that Shaz defected, anxious to start hunting him. Feliz is, in any case, not a really bad guy. He just knows that mutants will be always discriminated and has neither the will nor the strength to change things. He accepts his place in the world and keeps on living, while dreaming for a better future.

Blade Aural
Alongside Go Ottari, Shaz Aliart, Delfina Hyaruno, and Feliz Harracido, Blade Aural was created by RealLifeAnime in the early 2050s in order to star in an action show which should have replaced "The Princess of the Light Petals". He was appointed member of a heroic fishmen team with the name of "Blade the Golden Avenger". His golden skin was a result of fine tuning different natural dyes, resulting in a tint never synthesized before, which made him stand out. The show bombed badly, leaving all the fishmen unemployed and ready to be dismissed. In these conditions, Go Ottari founded the Fishface Crime Syndicate and converted a ragtag bunch of misfits to one of the most powerful mobs in the United Kingdom. Being the most intelligent among his fellows, Blade took on a management role inside the syndicate, becoming the direct boss of Shaz and Feliz and having "the Lobster" assigned to his group. After Shaz's and Delfina's defections, Blade got even more prestige and higher level tasks, among which being made responsible ofthe drug smuggling from and to Ireland. Blade still thinks that his former friends have to be saved from Go and he's maneuvering in the shadows in order to help them both...

Shaz Aliart
Alongside Go Ottari, Blade Aural, Delfina Hyaruno, and Feliz Harracido, Shaz Colder was created by RealLifeAnime in the early 2050s in order to star in an action show which should have replaced "The Princess of the Light Petals". He was an appointed member of a heroic fishmen team with the name of "Shaz the Sniper". The design of his suit was based on early cartoons of the '90s and he was equipped with two semi-automatic guns which could be loaded with a variety of different projectiles. The show bombed badly, leaving all the fishmen unemployed and ready to be dismissed. In these conditions, Go Ottari founded the Fishface Crime Syndicate and converted a ragtag bunch of misfits to one of the most powerful mobs in the United Kingdom. Shaz put up muscle mass and became well-known in the underworld by the name "Underwater". Donning his trademark exoskeleton diving suit, Underwater plundered and robbed the whole New Langdon for three years, before risking his life in a close encounter with detective Lorenz Kristhhoffer from New Scotland Yard in 2064, which ended up in a complete debacle. After risking being sliced to death in the aftermath, Shaz escaped from the Fishface base, taking away with him a consistent sum of money from the mob's caveau. He then proceeded to change aliases several times, being "Gaetano Trasimeno", "Chazz Aliart", "Chazz Colder” and "Shaz Aliart", even at the same time. In the eyes of a careless observer, despite being hunted down by his former colleagues, Shaz would seem to enjoy a sort of quiet life in New Langdon, as if Go forgot about his existence. In reality, he's forced to change living place often, in order not to be tracked down, thus having to move from flat to flat every other month. The only two places in which he can enjoy relative peace are the strip club "Le Coq Heureux", due to the relative power of its owner, and the "Shooting Star Aquarium", because it's considered someway "sacred" by the mob members, since most of them were bought there before being turned into mutants. Nowadays, Shaz spends his life between these two places. His defeatism and resignation to the status-quo led him to become a serial drinker and to live the same monotonous yet dangerous routine every day, hoping for things to improve on their own.
