She returns to the present day with Haohmaru and Darli in order to prevent the full resurrection of Verse and to exorcise the evil spirit that lurks within.

Nakoruru and her young sister Rimururu lived in the land of Ainu restfully.
One day Rimururu ran away from their home because she could not hear the voice of the Holy Spirit.
So Nakoruru chased her in order to tell her the truth.
She realized that...
The intentions of many people gathered and swirled where she would go.
"I wish I had told her more early.
...please be safe, Rimururu."
Hurry up, or that whirlpool would eventually become misfortune.
Nakoruru walked much faster for she protected Rimururu from a disaster.

Nakoruru thinks, "I will go to a place with nature's sounds." She looks over Japan, standing on the top of Mt. Fuji. There, she devotes her life to protecting nature.

The destruction of the environment in WAREZ's areas of development has escalated to a level that can no longer be ignored. Unforgivable deforestation, pollution, and the disposal of radioactive waste--the greenery in these areas of development was gone in the batting of an eye, and sightings of wildlife decreased while the floating corpses of mutant fish in polluted rivers conversely increased. "Mother Nature...weeps."
The shrieks of the trees and birds even reached the hinterlands of the North. The heart-rending screams pleading for help grow louder as the days pass and Nakoruru, the heavenly Ainu maiden, senses them.
"Hold on, for I will come."
Daybreak. Rera (the wind) for the first time this year blows from the south. Spring always visits sooner than ever to the Kamui Kotan when Nakoruru has left.

After that, Nakoruru never heard the voice of Kamui. Whether it's a good thing or not, no one can tell, but at least she's alive. She's lost her special power, yet her life retains all the magic of nature.
She still hears the birds sing, and feels the wind.
"When I think back to that moment, when I gave up my life, I felt someone saved me. It must have been the spirit of my mother and father. In contrast to my fighting days, my life is soft and quiet."
Nakoruru started her life without a sword, and after this test, she stopped fighting.
