Gameplay

Special Moves

Bowser Bomb
down+bbtn
Leap up and plunge onto enemies rapidly with considerable force.

Fire Breath
bbtn
The fire flows while you hold @term=bbtn@, but it weakens over time.

Koopa Klaw
forward+bbtn
Grab and bite close enemies or slash those who are farther away.

Whirling Fortress
up+bbtn
Spin on the ground to launch opponents skyward, or do it to get back to the stage.
Captain Falcon

Falcon Punch
bbtn
With a marvelously enunciated Engrish shout of "FAL-CONE PAUNCH!", Captain Falcon delivers a massively powerful punch, with a fiery falcon engulfing his fist.
Kirby

Final Cutter
up+bbtn(air)
Kirby leaps upward with a scimitar, then comes back down to strike the ground with it, creating a shockwave that moves in the direction he's facing.

Hammer
backward/forward+bbtn(air)
Kirby pulls out a hammer and strikes horizontally. The move has different effects in the air depending on the game. In Melee, Kirby spins with it vertically, hitting any foes near him no matter the position. In Brawl, he swings it horizontally like on the ground, but does it twice and it is caught on fire.

Inhale
bbtn
Kirby opens his mouth wide and sucks in air. If a foe is close enough, he will inhale the enemy right into his mouth. Pressing @term=bbtn@ again will spit the opponent out; pressing @term=down@ will make Kirby swallow the opponent, which although releases them from his mouth, will also change his appearance to display traits from said enemy; he will also gain the ability to use their @term=bbtn@ move in place of Inhale. Taunting will expel the opponent's moves and allow Kirby to inhale again.

Stone
down+bbtn(air)
Kirby turns into a stone block, leaving him imprevious to damage for a short time. Using it in the air causes Kirby to drop straight down quickly, causing damage to underlying foes. In Melee and Brawl, he can turn into additional shapes, including a spiked ball, 100-ton weight, Thwomp (from Super Mario Bros.), or a garbage block from Panel de Pon. In Brawl, performing it on the ground pushes immediate nearby foes away a bit.
Link

Bomb
down+bbtn
Pull bombs out and press the @term=abtn@ to hurl them at enemies. If Link drops it, other characters can pick it up.

Boomerang
backward/forward+bbtn(air)
Tap the analog stick for longer range and tilt up or down to aim it.

Bow / Hero's Bow
(hold)bbtn(air)
Hold @term=bbtn@ then release for swift, long-range arrow attacks.
Mario

Cape / Super Mantle
backward/forward+bbtn(air)
Mario snaps his cape from Super Mario World at the foe and spins them around. This attack can also reflect projectiles.

Fireball
bbtn(air)
Shoot bouncing balls of fire horizontally, which bounce along the ground and obstacles. They vanish as they slow.

Mario Tornado
down+bbtn(air)
Engulf opponents in a high-speed spin. Tap B while attacking to float up.

Super Jump Punch
up+bbtn(air)
Attack opponents while jumping or leap to get back to the stage. Coins erupt from the attack upon contact.
Peach

Vegetable
down+bbtn
Peach reaches down and plucks a vegetable out of the ground, which can then be thrown like a normal item. The design of the vegetable is random, and each vegetable does different damage (6%-34%) depending on the design.
Samus

Bomb
down+bbtn(air)
Samus transforms into her "Morph Ball" and drops a mine. Explosions from this mine can send her upward slightly.

Charge Shot
(hold)bbtn(air)
Fires off a tiny blast, or if sufficiently charged, a larger blast. The charge can be held onto, and then discharged later by hitting @term=bbtn@ again.

Missile
backward/forward+bbtn(air)
Samus fires a missile with homing capabilities. If the directional is "Smashed" (tapped quickly), the missile will lose its homing properties but become faster and more powerful (and in Brawl, larger).

Screw Attack
up+bbtn(air)
Samus curls into a ball and initiates a spinning jump.

Storyline
Deluxe Melee
Nintendo's best return with some friends and foes to take on Master Hand, Crazy Hand, and the terrifying Giga Bowser.
