The illegitimate son of the Japanese crime boss Shingen Harada, Kenuichio boasts the mutant ability to create a Tachyon Field from his own body. Being heavily trained in the martial arts, he often extends this field around his katana, making it capable of slicing through nearly any substance.

In Marvel Team-Up #74 (printed in October 1978), Spider-Man teams up with... the cast of Saturday Night Live. During a tussle with John Belushi (dressed in his Samurai Futaba costume), Silver Samurai snatches a magical ring from the actor that allows him to teleport. This is presumed to be the method in which Silver Samurai is able to teleport within the games.
