Pre History
A young English-born supermodel, Elizabeth "Betsy" Braddock developed psychic powers. As a member of the X-Men, she was kidnapped by the Japanese crime lord Matsuo Tsurayaba and forced to swap bodies with his lover, the assassin Kwannon. Kwannon, in Braddock's body, was killed, and thus, Betsy was trapped forever in a Japanese woman's body.
