Second World Fighting Tournament
Jeffry uses the prize money from his fighting tournaments to maintain a fishing boat, his chief source of livelihood. All his life, he has sought one trophy above others: the legendary, man-eating "Devil Shark." Their last battle was the most ferocious yet, but the shark escaped, leaving nothing of Jeffry's boat but splinters. So Jeffry polished up his fighting techniques and is stepping into the ring again. If he wins this time, he can buy a new boat and get rid of his nemesis once and for all.

Third World Fighting Tournament
In order to build a boat to catch "Satan Shark," (a shark measuring more than six meters in length) Jeffry took part in the Second World Fighting Tournament. His only motivation was the money that all the participants were sure to receive. This sum was less than in previous years, but Jeffry began to build his boat as he had originally planned. About a year later, his dreamboat still far from completion, Jeffry had run out of money. He was sick with worry over how to handle this money problem when the invitation for the Third World Fighting Tournament arrived. The timing was perfect. He decided to take part in the tournament once more.

Fourth World Fighting Tournament
With the prize money he received from winning at the Third Tournament, Jeffry completed the construction of his ship. Unfortunatly, by the time he returned to sea, “Devil Shark” seemed to have moved to another area seeking more fish. In order to have any hope of finding “Devil Shark,” Jeffry would need to utilize a high quality fishing research vehicle--a costly purchase. Unable to afford such high-end equipment, Jeffry jumped at the chance to enter the Fourth World Fighting Tournament in an attempt to take home the prize money a second time.

Fifth World Fighting Tournament
Jeffry had entered the Fourth World Fighting Tournament to raise funds to buy a fishing research vessel with high-end radar, but when he returned home, he heard from the local fishermen that the Devil Shark had been captured by J6. His rival, captured!? Jeffry couldn’t believe his ears. “I’m the only one who can defeat the Devil Shark! No one else can touch him! No one!” Driven by obsession, Jeffry tried to find out everything he could about J6, but even after spending all of his prize money from the tournament, all he learned was that J6 was the organization behind the tournament itself. Unsure of what to do next, Jeffry’s next move is decided for him when he receives an invitation to the fifth tournament.
