Storyline
Background
Pre History
Whilst fighting the demon crime lord Janemba in Hell, Goku and Vegeta perform the Fusion Dance, merging into the extremely powerful Gogeta. With a single attack, he destroys Janemba.

Gogeta later appears in Dragon Ball GT, as a Super Saiyan 4. He is much more powerful, but very cocky and toys with Omega Shenron in his fight. The Fusion time limit runs out before he can defeat the evil Dragon.
Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Battle 22
The Ultimate Battle
VEGETO is really the strongest of all the warriors - GOKU and VEGETA rolled into one! His attacks, from TELEPORT to energy discharges such as the FINAL CHOU KAMEHAMEHA, are irresistible! If your cannot beat VEGETO, keep training...

Fun Facts
Fusion Confusion
In the North American release of DragonBall Z Ultimate Battle 22, Gogeta is erroneously given the name of his counterpart Vegetto. This may have been because Gogeta is shown being formed by the Potara Earrings in the opening FMV, rather than the Fusion Dance as he is normally created.
