Fun Facts
Not Coming to America
Due to licensing issues, Daimaou did not make it into Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars; instead, Tekkaman Blade, Joe the Condor, Frank West, Zero and Yatterman-2 were included in the game.
The War He Didn't Cover
Frank West was removed from Marvel vs. Capcom 3 pretty late in development due to some difficulties with his special moves. Popular rumor says that it was due to excessive lag when summoning zombies in a more robust (read: actually functional) online environment. Director Ryota Niitsuma said he was actually part of the CG trailers made to promote the game, which throws weight behind the theory that he was the pilot of the helicopter seen in Episode 2.
