habit
A traditional religious headdress associated with Catholic nuns.
hair_bow
Wears one or more bows in the hair (probably inordinately large bows).
hair_change
This character changes his or her hairstyle/color from one to another either pre-/post-battle, or during the fight. This may range from simply letting down his or her hair after a match, or as a result of transformation ala Super Saiyans.
hair_moves
Attacks opponent with their hair or an object worn in their hair.
hairband
Wears a band of elastic, cloth, or other material in his or her hair, often shaped like a horseshoe.
hairy
Sports visual body hair, sometimes in excessive amounts.
hakama
Wears the traditional Japanese skirt-like pants.
half_hair
Character only has half a head of hair (either horizontally or vertically).
hammer
Wields a hammer in battle.
handcuffs
Often seen wearing handcuffs on either the wrists or clothing.
handstand
Character fights upside-down.
haunted
The arena shows common signs of paranormal activity, like objects being moved by an unseen force, spirits of dead and apparitions.
hazards
Some, most or all stages of this game contain dangerous hazards, such as fire, spikes, electric walls, monsters, etc., that do damage to characters.
head_stomp
Any air move (probably down+button command normal) which doesn't alter trajectory, but on hit or block the character rebounds with an "extra jump" and can still do air attacks.
headdress
Adorned with a ceremonial or royal headdress of some probably tribal nature.
headphones
Character prominently displays headphones on their person during the fight.
headwear
Wears an otherwise unspecified garment prominently on their head.
healer
Able to uniquely recover their own life, often by draining it from the enemy.
healing
A move that increases the health of the character using it.
heart_effects
Heartshaped objects or special effect can be seen, whether it is a special move, a pose or a taunt.
hearts
Wears one or more hearts anywhere on their attire, or wears something heart-shaped.
heat_being
A character whose body is made from fire or lava, or a similar substance.
heavy_dialogue
Before most/all of the fights characters will briefly have a conversation with each over with unique dialogue with each opponent before they battle. (And sometimes after the fight as well.) Depending on the game it can be a fully established plot or just a bunch of random encounters with hopefully witty banter before each and every fight. Basically...
heterochromia
Character has two different colored eyes.
hidden_weapons
Utilizes an array of expertly concealed weapons.
high_heels
Often seen wearing high-heeled shoes or boots.
high_school
Most of the characters are highschoolers, any adults in the cast are likely faculty members.
historical_fiction
Based on a true story.
historical_person
Despite any ridiculous creative embellishments, based on a historical individual.
hits_mid
An attack that can be blocked high, but will hit a low-blocking opponent.
homing_projectile
A projectile that tracks and follows the opponent's movement to some extent in an attempt to collide with them.
homing_stomp
An attack that starts on the ground (probably?) but takes to the air with the aim of hitting the opponent in the head.
homosexual
Prefers the same sex in romance.
hooded
Wears a hooded outfit during a fight.
hop_throw
A jump forward some distance into unblockable throw attempt.
horned
Having horns on the head or a helmet.
horror
Possessed of more moonlit nights, dark castles, vampires and skeletons than normal.
hot_pants
Wears hot pants or anything short that expose the legs.
hot-blooded
Perpetually excited, boisterous.
house
The fight takes place inside or outside a house or mansion.
hurricane
An advancing spinning attack often used to avoid projectiles.
