Dark Souls Byakuya Kuchiki Chapter Captain of Squad 6. 28th head of the Kuchiki family, one of the four great noble families. Called the strongest captain of all time. Rukia's older brother. His wife, Hisana, passed away, but he carried out her wishes by adopting her younger sister, Rukia, into the Kuchiki family. The epitome of calm and composure.

Dark Souls Don Kanonji Chapter A charismatic spirit medium with a popular TV show. His exuberant laugh and odd pose are popular even at Ichigo's school. His stage name is Misaomaru Kan'onji. He is Karakura Gold and the leader of the Karakura Superheroes. While he looks silly and flamboyant, he has the spirit of a hero and fights spirits in order to give children courage and hope.

Dark Souls Ganju Shiba Chapter Runs around the Rukon District on his boar, Bonnie. The younger brother of Kaien and Kukaku Shiba, he hated Soul Reapers for causing his brother Kaien's death. He learned the truth behind Kaien's death during Rukia's rescue. Passionate, kind and respected by his friends, his toughness and speed in running away are his best strengths.

Dark Souls Genryusai Shigekuni Yamamoto Chapter Captain of Squad 1 and Head Captain of the Thirteen Court Guard Squads. Looks like an old man, but under his Shihakusho is a toned body with scars etched in from his past battles. Believes in justice at all times and stands by his beliefs. Founder of the Soul Reaper Academy, he taught Ukitake and Kyoraku himself.

Dark Souls Gin Ichimaru Chapter Ex-Captain of Squad 3. He sided with Aizen and betrayed the Soul Society, escaping into Hueco Mundo. He is an old acquaintance of Rangiku. His unreadable expression adds to the mystery that surrounds him.

Dark Souls Grand Fisher Chapter The hollow who killed Masaki, Ichigo's mother. A special lure on his head is used to capture humans to feed on their high spiritual power. He loses to Ichigo and vows revenge.

Dark Souls Hanataro Yamada Chapter The 7th Seat of Squad 4 and the leader of the 14th Advanced Rescue Unit. He has high healing powers, and helped Ichigo and his friends to save Rukia. He is usually panicky and meek, but has the courage to face his foes if the going gets tough.

Dark Souls Hollow Ichigo Ichigo?, Ogihci Chapter A form of Ichigo's spiritual power that exists within Ichigo's inner world. He looks like Ichigo, but he shows much more overt aggression.

Dark Souls Ichigo Kurosaki Chapter A first year student at Karakura First High School. Born with the ability to see ghosts, his destiny as a Substitute Soul Reaper began when he met Rukia Kuchiki. Has orange hair and brown eyes. While he appears sullen and unapproachable, he has a kind nature and can't help trying to help people in trouble.

Dark Souls Ikkaku Madarame Chapter The 3rd Seat of Squad 11. He loves fighting, and values a good fight more than his own life. He has learned to use Bankai, one of the requisites to become Captain, but hides the fact because he wants to fight under Kenpachi. Often seen with Yumichika, also of Squad 11.

Dark Souls Izuru Kira Iduru Kira Chapter Lieutenant of Squad 3. He was an excellent student at Soul Reaper Academy, and classmates with Momo and Renji. Because of his serious personality, he faithfully followed the orders of Gin, his former superior, and ended up defying the Soul Society. An honest and kind young man.

Dark Souls Jushiro Ukitake Chapter Captain of Squad 13. He is sickly, and suffers from a lung ailment that has turned his hair white. He is warmhearted and very popular.

Dark Souls Kaien Shiba Chapter Former Lieutenant of Squad 13 and Kukaku and Ganju Shiba's older brother. He was compassionate and fair, admired by his subordinates. He looks like Ichigo somewhat. He tried to defeat the hollow that killed Miyako Shiba, his wife, but ended up being controlled by it. The only way to save him was to kill him. As a result, he died by Rukia's hand.

Dark Souls Kaname Tosen Chapter Ex-Captain of Squad 9. Despite being blind, he shows amazing skill with his sword. He aided Aizen's betrayal of the Soul Society in pursuit of a greater peace, and headed to Hueco Mundo. Loves peace more than anything, and opposes anyone who disturbs it. He strives to uphold the promise he made to his dead friend, to become the embodiment of justice.

Dark Souls Kenpachi Zaraki Chapter Captain of Squad 11. A powerful Soul Reaper who has an aggressive attitude to match. He became captain by defeating the previous captain even though he is unable to use Bankai. He handicaps himself with an eyepatch and bells, to prolong and enjoy his fights. His name, Kenpachi, means he will not fall, no matter how many times he is slashed.

Dark Souls Kisuke Urahara Chapter The owner of a general store, Urahara Shop. Easygoing but hard to read, he knows much about Soul Society technology and history. Helped Ichigo and friends as they went to save Rukia. A black market dealer who sells items from the Soul Society, he was once Captain of Squad 12 and the first Bureau Chief of the Department of Research and Devlopment.

Dark Souls Kon Chapter A Mod Soul created as a foot soldier in Project Spearhead. He was to have been destroyed when the project was canceled, but he wound up in the human world. He inhabits a stuffed lion. He is cheerful, but perverted, and has a weakness for women. He often acts without thinking, but is kept in line by Rukia. His name comes from Kaizo Konpaku (Mod Soul in Japanese).

Dark Souls Kukaku Shiba Chapter The Rukon District's fireworks expert and Ganju Shiba's older sister. Overbearing, decisive and generous, she helped Ichigo and his friends save Rukia. The art pieces in front of Kukaku's house are her own creations. In the past there were others, such as "Hand stand," "Champion," and "First Love."

Dark Souls Lirin Ririn Chapter A Mod Soul created by Kisuke Urahara. She inhabits a bird-like stuffed animal and has the ability to produce illusions.

Dark Souls Mayuri Kurotsuchi Chapter Captain of Squad 12 and the second Bureau Chief of Research and Development. A mad scientist who will use any means to fulfill his curiosity and love of research.

Dark Souls Menos Grande Gillian Chapter A giant Hollow born from the merging of hundreds of smaller Hollows. Rarely seen, but incredibly powerful. Uses an attack called Cero, an immense blast of spiritual pressure.

Dark Souls Momo Hinamori Chapter Lieutenant of Squad 5. A childhood friend of Hitsugaya, she calls him "Lil' Shiro." She was classmates with Renji and Izuru at the Soul Reaper Academy. She was critically wounded when Aizen betrayed her. A master of Kido, she shows impressive power in battle.

Dark Souls Nanao Ise Chapter Lieutenant of Squad 8. An intellectual woman who works for Shunsui, who is always joking around despite her repeated warnings. Vice-Chairman of the Female Soul Reaper Association.

Dark Souls Nemu Kurotsuchi Chapter Lieutenant of Squad 12. Created by Mayuri Kurotsuchi with his gigai and gikon technology, she follows his orders without question.

Dark Souls Orihime Inoue Chapter Ichigo's classmate from Karakura First High School. Somewhat airheaded but bright, gentle and kind, she is well-liked by everyone. She is secretly in love with Ichigo. She has been friends with Tatsuki since middle school. Her ability, Shunshunrikka, awakened when she protected Tatsuki from Hollows. She has a unique sense of taste.

Dark Souls Rangiku Matsumoto Chapter Lieutenant of Squad 10. She has a playful personality, but is someone people can count on when they're in trouble. An old acquaintance of Gin from before they joined the Thirteen Court Guard Squads.

Dark Souls Renji Abarai Chapter Lieutenant of Squad 6. A Soul Reaper who grew up in the "Hanging Dog" area of Rukon District with Rukia Kuchiki. He was in the elite class at the Soul Reaper Academy with Izuru and Momo. His forehead tattoos and sunglasses make him easy to spot. The sunglasses he wears are from the Silver Dragonfly, a popular shop in Soul Society.

Dark Souls Rukia Kuchiki Chapter A Soul Reaper of Squad 13. Grew up in the "Hanging Dog" area of the Rukon District along with Renji Abarai. Later adopted into the Kuchiki Clan as a younger sister to Byakuya. While nearly executed in Aizen's plot, she was saved by Ichigo and her friends. Her old-fashioned speech, dignified behavior, and the aesthetic sense she shares with Byakuya set her apart.

Dark Souls Sajin Komamura Chapter Captain of Squad 7. He is a wolf-man, and hides his true form with a bamboo helmet. He was shunned due to his appearance, and taken in by Shigekuni Genryusai Yamamoto. For that, he feels indebted to Yamamoto and is unwaveringly loyal to him. He is old friends with Kaname Tosen. Despite Tosen's betrayal, Komamura hopes to see him return.

Dark Souls Shuhei Hisagi Chapter Lieutenant of Squad 9. Graduated from the Soul Reaper Academy with excellent grades and widely-recognized potential.

Dark Souls Shunsui Kyoraku Chapter Captain of Squad 8. He has a weakness for alcohol and women. He appears not to take anything seriously, but is actually very wise and insightful.

Dark Souls Soifon Chapter Captain of Squad 2 and Commander of the Special Forces. She is the 9th generation head of the Fon clan, who specialize in executions and assassinations. She worships her ex-superior, Yoruichi. When Yoruichi left the Soul Society, she felt betrayed and viciously fought her when they met again. They have since come to an understanding.

Dark Souls Sosuke Aizen Chapter Ex-Captain of Squad 5. His gentle personality made him popular, but it was nothing more than a facade to build trust. Cold, heartless and ambitious, he betrayed the Soul Society and left for Hueco Mundo along with his accomplices, Gin Ichimaru and Kaname Tosen.

Dark Souls Tatsuki Arisawa Chapter Ichigo's classmate at Karakura First High School. Best friends with Orihime. A second-degree black belt in karate, she placed 2nd in the national high school tournament. Friends with Ichigo since they were four, she understands him well. Her secret technique, "Dragon Bazooka," comes from the soccer/baseball hybrid sport that Orihime created.

Dark Souls Tessai Tsukabishi Chapter An Urahara Shop employee, he is a polite man with a mustache and glasses. He has the fighting techniques to defeat Hollows barehanded and uses high level Kido.

Dark Souls Toshiro Hitsugaya Chapter Captain of Squad 10, and the youngest Soul Reaper to attain the rank. He grew up with Hinamori in the Rukon District, and keeps an eye out for her.

Dark Souls Ururu Tsumugiya Chapter An employee at Urahara Shop. Quiet and reserved. But she fights at Soul Reaper level, and when she enters slaughtering mode she keeps going until all enemies are eliminated. She is Karakura Pink of the Karakura Superheroes, led by Don Kan'onji.

Dark Souls Uryu Ishida Chapter Ichigo's classmate at Karakura First High School. An excellent student. He is a Quincy, a race sworn to destroy Hollows. He hates Soul Reapers, blaming them for his grandfather's death. He is skilled with his hands and specializes in handicraft. He can even make clothes. He is serious and calm, but he has difficulty expressing his feelings.

Dark Souls Yachiru Kusajishi Chapter Lieutenant of Squad 11. Stays close to Kenpachi. She seems like an innocent child by her looks and speech, but when she fights, she displays incredible strength. Yachiru got her name from Kenpachi, the name of the only person that he ever admired. She often gives people nicknames, but quickly forgets them.

Dark Souls Yasutora Sado Chapter Ichigo's classmate at Karakura First High School. Nickname: Chad. A big man of few words and monstrous strength, but despite his looks, he is kind and likes cute things. His abilities awakened and his right arm transformed when he saved Ichigo's younger sisters from Hollows. Friends with Ichigo since middle school, he cherishes a promise they made long ago.

Dark Souls Yoruichi Shihoin Chapter She helped Ichigo save Rukia with her intimate knowledge of the Soul Society. She is the former head of the Special Forces and 22nd head of the noble Shihoin family. Called "Goddess of Flash" for her amazing Flash Step, she also developed Shunko, a deadly mix of Hakuda and Kido. A wanted criminal for aiding Kisuke Urahara's escape from the Soul Society.

Dark Souls Yuichi Shibata Chapter A boy whose soul was removed by the Hollow, Shrieker, and sealed into the body of a parakeet. Chad helped him pass on, and later met him in the Soul Society. Admires Chad like a big brother.

Dark Souls Yumichika Ayasegawa Chapter The 5th Seat of Squad 11. He has a unique sense of beauty and is an incredible narcissist. He is often seen with Ikkaku, also of Squad 11.
