As was expected, Ken Masters won the tournament. His son Mel cheers, "Congratulations, Daddy!" Ken responds, "Thank you, son. You and Eliza inspire me!"

The Tournament Begins Anew
The heir apparent to the largest conglomerate in the United States, 12-year-old Ken Masters was shipped off to Japan by his father to learn discipline under his good friend, Gouken. Although hesitant at first, Ken eventually warmed up to his new environment, getting along especially well with his fellow student, Ryu. Ken’s warm and passionate nature contrasts his best friend, and the two love to test one another. He just can’t say no to a challenge from Ryu.
Now settled into a comfortable life in America with his expecting wife, Ken is reluctant to enter the new fighting tournament. It is only after Ryu issues a personal challenge that he enters the tournament, ready to show his good friend that he still has his fighting spirit.

The Tournament Begins
Although he hails from the U.S.A., karate-meister Ken honed his fine fighting skills by studying under a renowned martial arts master in Japan, where he was pushed to excel by training partner and fellow street fighter Ryu. He is perhaps best known for his Shoryuken attack, but he has developed strong skills in all areas. He is a formidable opponent who never leaves home without his Black Belt.

Ken studied martial arts alongside Ryu and considers him his most competent rival. Though he was born into wealth, he believes in hard work and earned his fighting prowess through intense training.

The Eternal Rival
Trained with Ryu under the tutelage of Gouken, and has since become eternal rivals with his good friend. He is the heir to the Masters Corporation. He is by nature a cheerful and positive person in contrast to Ryu's stoicism, but he is also able to concentrate on the task at hand. Worried about the dangerous road his friend Ryu is taking, he joins him in his journey.

Former US National Fighting Champ, and ex-VP of the Masters Foundation. Accusations of orchestrating a criminal plot have forced Ken to abandon his family and business and go into hiding.

A disciple of the Shotokan school of karate, and past training partner of Ryu, Ken has an amazing fighting spirit but an even larger ego. Convinced he is the best fighter, and can defeat anyone, Ken seeks a confrontation with his long-time rival and friend Ryu.
