Pre History
The daughter of two prosperous Chinese immigrants, valley girl Jubilation Lee was orphaned when hit men confused her parents for their neighbors, who were also named Lee. Jubilation was sent to an orphanage, but escaped and went to live in a Hollywood mall. She discovered the ability to produce powerful "fireworks" from her hands when fleeing mall security. Some time later, Jubilation tracked down the X-Men, and became a member after saving Wolverine from crucifixion. Wolverine would become a mentor and father figure to Jubilation, whose first and last names were mashed together to create the codename "Jubilee."
