Storyline
Background
Pre History
Johnny Storm was a passanger on the Fantasic Four’s fateful journey into space. Rather than the preeminent experience of Johnny’s young life, the trip proved to be a disaster. In space, the starship unexpectedly encountered intense radiation, which mutagenically altered the bodies of all four crew members. Having acquired the ability to emit and envelop himself in fiery plasma, Johnny jumped at the promise of adventure when Reed suggested they use their unique powers for humanity’s benefit.

Upon graduation, from high school Johnny moved to the team’s Baxter Building headquarters in New York City. Like any other family, the members of the Fantastic Four have endured their share of hardships, always remaining together because of their love for one another, not out of necessity. The baby of the bunch, the Torch has demonstrated a talent for tormenting the Thing. Ben and Johnny may bicker like brothers, but each is extremely protective of the other.

Immature and prone to distraction in other areas, Johnny nonetheless endeavors to live up to his heroic responsibilities—when he’s not jet-setting in one of his souped-up hot rods, wooing women with his boyish good looks and natural charm or attempting to kickstart his acting career. But no matter how many times they tell him to grow up, the Torch is in no great hurry to become an adult. Impetuous and hotheaded, he often charges headlong into the breach, leaving Mr. Fantastic and Invisible Woman to pick up the pieces in his wake—and the Thing to pull his fat out of the fire.

Human Torch was reportedly completely finished and playable in Marvel vs. Capcom 3, but had to be scrapped due to his constant "flame on" state taking up too much RAM.
